Barcelona have already started making plans to bolster their squad after receiving a huge windfall that could eliminate some of the financial issues that have been plaguing them.
Barca have found themselves battling La Liga economic rules in recent years which has seen the club struggle to register key players and forced into selling high-salaried stars.
However, the Catalan side announced a new deal with Nike last week that would net Barca a staggering €1.7 billion over the next 14 years – the largest kit deal in football history.

The deal comes at a welcome time for Barca, with Hansi Flick’s side previously likely to struggle to register the likes of Dani Olmo and Andreas Christensen in January due to La Liga salary rules.
And SPORT report that planning for next season is already under way, although the scale of the investment will depend on contract renewals and the team’s performances this year.
Barca are also still believed to be in significant transfer debt, meaning that the Nike windfall may still not be enough to completely erase any issues even if the club are on the right track.
Barca eyeing top quality stars
Barca’s ideal target is a forward next summer, having seen a move for Nico Williams fail this summer, and the Athletic Bilbao winger is still on the club’s shortlist, although it would require the player to push for a move to the Camp Nou over other sides.
Instead, Barca are looking to sign players of the ‘highest quality’ such as Khvicha Kvaratskhelia or Rafael Leao, both of whom would cost in excess of €80 million yet still remain feasible.
Players on expiring contracts are also being considered such as Leroy Sane and Mohamed Salah, while Dortmund’s Karim Adeyemi is another costly option on the club’s list.
Barca are also aiming to bring in a full-back on each side, with left-backs such as Alphonso Davies, Alvaro Carreras and Hugo Bueno being named as options.
Crucially, Barca believe they can achieve their transfer goals without cashing in on key stars, although doubts will remain over the futures of Ronald Araujo and Frenkie de Jong until their contractual situations are resolved.
