Barcelona interested in Kim and Upamecano, per TZ

The Catalan giants are interested in two of Bayern’s centre-halves.

Barcelona are eyeing Dayot Upamecano and Kim Min-Jae and have enquired about both defenders, according to TZ München.

Barça sporting director Deco appreciates both players’ ability to defend high up the pitch and build up the play, suiting Hansi Flick’s approach.

However, nothing is concrete as of now and Barça would only pursue Upamecano or Kim if Ronald Araújo leaves the club.

Furthermore, they would first have to sell players to register new ones given their financially strapped situation.

Barcelona were already interested in Upamecano before his move to Leipzig. So far, Bayern have not managed to agree a new contract with him. 

Financially, the two sides are still far apart. The fact that Upamecano has not yet extended his contract has been noted by other top clubs.
