Barcelona still owe a staggering €159million to several clubs for past transfers, while Bayern Munich are listed as a side set to benefit.
Despite generating nearly €1billion in revenue, Barca’s short-term debts and delayed transfer payments reveals the club is still struggling.
Of the €159million owed for transfer s, a whopping €140million has to be paid out within the next year to tackle their balance sheets.
GOAL.com has reported that roughly €20million is owed to the Bavarians for the purchase of Robert Lewandowski in 2022.
The Polish international originally joined for €50million and has since gone on to score 105 goals in 156 competitive appearances.
However, it appears the Catalan giants are yet to fully pay off the original fee agreed with Bayern and now feel the pressure to do so.
