Bayern Munich’s director of sport, Max Eberl, shared his thoughts after Bayern Munich became Bundesliga champions this evening.

Eberl paid tribute to the team, the Bavarians’ head coach Vincent Kompany and credited Bayer Leverkusen for a challenging title race.

“Our big and most important goal, the league title, has been achieved,” the German said.

“We are delighted with the entire team and our head coach Vincent Kompany – congratulations on this season.

“Compliments also to Bayer Leverkusen, who challenged us a lot this season.

“Now we look forward to celebrating with the fans on Saturday in the stadium and later at Marienplatz,” Eberl concluded.
