After suffering an injury in Bayern Munich’s Champions League last-16 first-leg win over Bayer Leverkusen two weeks ago, Manuel Neuer is working towards his comeback.
According to Bild, the 38-year-old goalkeeper took another step forward on Tuesday by completing a training session on the Säbener Strasse pitch.
If all goes to plan, Neuer will be back in goal for Bayern’s upcoming game after the international break against FC St. Pauli.
There’s also progress to report regarding Aleksandar Pavlovic, who is sidelined with mononucleosis.
According to Bild, the 20-year-old central midfielder will begin light running sessions during the international break as he looks to gradually work his way back to match fitness.
