Bayern Munich have great fans who show their support in every game. However, said fans are also known to comment on political topics and/or make statements during home games specifically.

A report from the “Abendzeitung” has commented on a member of the Bayern fans scene, who announced that the “Südkurve” will stay silent during the first 12 minutes of the game against Freiburg:

“We will show in the first twelve minutes what it means when fan culture is destroyed. The first twelve minutes will be silent”, said Fabian Stammberger, member of a Bayern fan club.

The reason for this action is to protest proposals from the Conference of Interior Ministers, which includes the introduction of personalized tickets, the use of facial recognition and the creation of a nationwide stadium ban commission to combat offenders.
