AbsolutFußball.de and BILD Frankfurt have both reported that Bayern Munich’s interest in Hertha BSC’s Kennet Eichhorn is very much still alive.

Transfer journalist Christopher Michel even notes how the German record champions pushed to sign the midfielder in January.

Given more talents like Lennart Karl and Tom Bischof have pushed through at Bayern, young players now have a greater chance at featuring.

Nonetheless, the race for the 16-year-old star is still “wide open” with Eintracht Frankfurt also in the running for his signature.

Sky Germany’s Philipp Hinze adds RB Leipzig to the list of potential suitors who are also unperturbed by the competition for Eichhorn.

Back in late December, info obtained by Spanish sources said the German prodigy was even offered to Barcelona by his agent

Unfortunately for the teenager, he suffered a serious syndesmosis injury against Schalke 04 in January which curtailed his season.
