Almost a month after announcing that Thomas Tuchel will step down as head coach this summer, Bayern Munich have yet to name his successor.

That’s not a problem for Bayern honorary president Uli Hoeness, who sees no reason to rush the process.

“I don’t understand all the hassle. We still have enough time to find the right coach. As always, FC Bayern will try to find a good solution,” Hoeness told reporters at a recent event at the Allianz Arena.

Fellow board member Karl-Heinz Rummenigge expressed similar views.

“We are not under any pressure. We’re on schedule,” Rummenigge told Bild.

“We already had something in mind when we decided to part ways with Thomas Tuchel at the end of the season. Things are now clear and settled.

“Now [sporting director] Max Eberl and [CEO] Jan-Christian Dreesen will hold the talks in peace. Uli Hoeness and I will advise them.”
