Bayern Munich have been told to forget about signing Fikayo Tomori in January after enquiring about the AC Milan defender.
According to Sky Sports Germany, the Bundesliga giants’ sporting director Christopher Freund is a keen admirer of the England international and explored the possibility of reuniting Tomori with Three Lions teammate Harry Kane.
Bayern’s interest, however, is set to come to nothing as the report adds AC Milan have made clear they have no intention to sell the centre-back this month.
Tomori, who turned 26 last month, is under contract with the Rossoneri until June 2027 after signing a five-year extension in August 2022.
A Chelsea youth academy product, Tomori joined AC Milan on loan in January two years ago, before making the move permanent six months later in a £27million deal.

Tomori has made 129 appearances in all competitions for the Rossoneri and has established himself as a key player in Stefano Pioli’s side, winning the Serie A title in 2022.
But despite being one of Milan’s defensive lynchpins, Tomori’s opportunities with England have been limited to just five appearances under Gareth Southgate.
The England boss surprisingly trialled Tomori at left-back in the first half of the 2-0 win against Malta at Wembley in November.
‘We’ve asked people to fill roles that aren’t their usual position, like Fikayo, and it’s not easy for him to build down that side,’ Southgate said at the time.
‘We’ve got problems with availability in that area of the pitch and you are trying to give some players a rest.’

Despite his performances in Serie A, Tomori has played just five times for England
Tomori lasted just 45 minutes in the role, before being replaced by Newcastle skipper Kieran Trippier at half-time.
The AC Milan defender is expected to be out for at least six weeks after suffering a hamstring injury at the end of December.
The Rossoneri headed into 2024 in third place in Serie A, nine points behind city rivals and league leaders Inter Milan.
