Chelsea are set to begin their Champions League journey against Bayern Munich on Wednesday, in a match where both unbeaten teams will be put to the test. Enzo Maresca’s Blues have remained undefeated in the first four weeks of the Premier League season, while Bayern have not only maintained an unbeaten record in the Bundesliga but have also secured three victories.

The Blues are making a triumphant return to the pinnacle of European football, competing in the Champions League the first time since the 2022/23 season, when they were defeated by Real Madrid in the quarter-finals. They enter the competition as reigning Conference League and Club World Cup champions, having triumphed over European champions Paris Saint-Germain in the final of the latter.

When does the match start?

The Bayern Munich vs Chelsea match is scheduled to kick off at 8pm UK time on Wednesday, September 16. It is one of four matches kicking off at that time, alongside Ajax vs Inter Milan, Liverpool vs Atletico Madrid and reigning champions Paris Saint-Germain against Atalanta.
