At just 17, Lennart Karl has already made his breakthrough with Bayern Munich’s senior team this season, featuring 13 times with two goals and an assist to his name.
Most recently, he impressed on his Germany U21 debut, bagging a brace as Antonio Di Salvo’s team cruised to a 6-0 victory over Malta.
Now, the youngster could be rewarded for his promising performances, with Fabrizio Romano reporting that Bayern Munich are preparing to open talks with Karl about a new contract on improved terms.
Karl’s current youth contract runs until 2028 and will automatically be converted into a professional deal until 2029 when he turns 18 on February 22.
However, according to the Italian transfer market insider, Bayern are considering offering him an even longer-term deal with better terms.
