Talks regarding Manuel Neuer’s future at Bayern Munich are expected to take place in December to determine an initial direction.

Sky Germany reports that every possibility is still open, and no decision has been made yet by the 39-year-old or club.

However, if Neuer extends his contract beyond 2026 once again, a permanent sale of Alexander Nübel is considered very likely.

With Jonas Urbig considered as current second-choice to Neuer, a return of Nübel would only stall both of their developments.

The 2014 World Cup winner, who turns 40 in March, will run out of contract at the Bavarians in June 2026 unless an offer is made.

Recently, there were even discussions that he might come back to the German national team setup, but coach Nagelsmann didn’t confirm or deny.
