Bayern youngster hands in transfer request

Adam Aznou has reportedly told Bayern he wants to be sold this summer.

Bayern Munich full-back Adam Aznou is seeking a fresh start this summer.

According to Bild, the 19-year-old has informed the club of his desire to leave on a permanent basis.

Aznou previously made it clear he was only open to staying if his playing time increased significantly.

However, his situation took a frustrating turn at the Club World Cup, where he featured for just eight minutes – despite both Alphonso Davies and Hiroki Ito being sidelined with injuries.

That lack of opportunity in the United States appears to have been the final straw. 

Per Bild, Aznou has now formally requested a transfer. It remains unclear, however, under what terms Bayern would be willing to let him leave.

The Moroccan international, whose contract runs until 2027, has recently been linked with a move to Everton.
