Bayern Munich’s new head of rehab, Benjamin Sommer, has been putting the Bavarian club’s injured personnel through their paces.

BILD reports that Sommer, who joined the club from Frankfurt this summer, worked with Hiroki Itō and Alphonso Davies at Säbener Straße today.

Both individuals completed exercises with the ball at the Bavarians’ training grounds and ran a few laps of the pitch as they build up fitness for their return to the first team.

Sommer is also taking care of Jamal Musiala’s rehab in the performance center, with a target for all three players to return to Vincent Kompany’s team in November.

Itō (metatarsal fracture), Davies (cruciate tear) have been absent since March, while Musiala broke his fibula at the FIFA Club World Cup in July.
