Emerson Royal is getting ready to leave Milan just one season on from his arrival from Tottenham Hotspur, as Besiktas are preparing to close a deal with the Rossoneri, Football Italia understands.
Besiktas closing in on Emerson Royal deal with Milan
Sources in Turkey have confirmed that Besiktas are closing in on a final deal with Milan for 26-year-old right-back Emerson Royal.
The former Tottenham and full-back has struggled to impress since his €17m move to join the Rossoneri last summer. Having missed the majority of the second half of the 2024-25 season, the Brazilian is now expected to depart San Siro this summer.
Emerson is close to finalising an agreement on personal terms with Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s Besiktas, and if an agreement is struck, then it is possible that he arrives in Istanbul within the next few days.
The deal will be a loan, at a cost, with an option to buy at a later date also included in the deal.
