The German defender looks likely to stay put in Leipzig.
Sky Germany have reported that Beşiktaş inquired about RB Leipzig’s Lukas Klostermann and made contact with his camp.
The Turkish side gathered information about the player and potential figures. However, it never became a serious pursuit.
Beşiktaş already have a fair share of former Bundesliga talents in their ranks including Felix Uduokhai and Milot Rashica.
So far this summer, the 29-year-old has rejected each offer he has received in the interest of fighting for his place at Leipzig.
After missing out on European football entirely, the Saxons are not against selling the versatile defender if the right offer is made.
Last season, Klostermann made a total of 28 Bundesliga appearances and chipped in with a solitary goal.
