“BILD”: Leverkusen reject first offer for Hrádecký

According to “BILD”, Bayer Leverkusen have rejected Monaco’s first bid for goalkeeper Lukáš Hrádecký.

Bayer Leverkusen have reportedly rejected AS Monaco’s first offer for veteran goalkeeper and captain Lukáš Hrádecký, as negotiations enter a critical phase this summer.

This offer is said to be well below the €4 million demanded by Leverkusen. Nevertheless, everything points to Hradecky moving to Monaco, where he is expected to be the number one goalkeeper and could earn more:

Up to €3 million net is said to be possible, while at Werkself it is rumored to be up to €4 million, but gross. Leverkusen have not yet given up the fight for the keeper and want to keep him with an extension including a follow-up contract after his career.

Despite Monaco agreeing a deal on personal terms, the Bundesliga club appear unwilling to cash in at present – a stance complicated by Hrádecký’s growing openness to a move.

The 35‑year‑old Finn, who has served Leverkusen since 2018 – including captaining the side to a historic Bundesliga and DFB-Pokal double in 2024 – faces mounting uncertainty over a starting spot after the club’s €10 million acquisition of Dutch stopper Mark Flekken.

With Flekken positioned as the new No. 1, Hrádecký has publicly acknowledged the possibility of departure. “I have a contract in Leverkusen, but I can’t promise anything,” he said, stressing his preference for a move where he can still play regularly.
