BILD reveal how Schalke could profit handsomely with Bundesliga promotion

The Royal Blues, currently sat second in the 2.Bundesliga table, could profit handsomely if they achieve promotion this campaign.

A return to the Bundesliga would certainly provide security across a number of fronts for Schalke 04. 

As Sport BILD reports, head coach Miron Muslic’s contract, which includes an exit option, will be automatically extended until 2028. 

In the event of promotion, the 43-year-old would also be subjected to a considerable salary increase.

Christopher Antwi-Adjei’s expiring contract would also be extended by a year if Schalke returns to the top flight next year.

However, according to Sport Bild article, the versatile attacking player must make 20 league appearances this season.

Furthermore, the current cooperation with main sponsor Minimeal, which is limited until the end of the season, also has an option to extend.

The main company, Sun AG, can exercise this clause and decide whether to extend the collaboration for one or two years.

As a Bundesliga club, the Royal Blues would receive six million euros instead of three million euros from the Swiss company.
