Due to a hamstring injury, Victor Boniface hasn’t played for Bayer Leverkusen since coming off the bench in a 1-1 draw with VfL Bochum in November 2024.

The 24-year-old forward was expected to return to training at the start of the year, but his comeback has been delayed.

As Bayer Leverkusen announced on Sunday, Boniface wasn’t in their squad to face Rot-Weiß Oberhausen is a friendly, as he has suffered a slight injury setback.

It is unclear at this stage exactly when Boniface will be able to return to action.

Boniface has made 15 appearances for Leverkusen this season, scoring eight goals.
