The veteran defender was substituted in the 18th minute, receiving heartfelt tributes from teammates and fans alike shortly after Juventus took the lead through Andrea Cambiaso.

Cambiaso later doubled Juventus’ advantage before Maximilian Beier pulled one back for the Black and Yellows.
