Wolfsburg’s search for a striker continues with recent links on a new target.
Fussball Transfers (FT) reports that VfL Wolfsburg are strongly interested in SC Braga’s Simon Banza. The Congolese striker had a strong season on loan at Trabzonspor as he finished the campaign with 19 Super Lig goals.
He’s now back at his parent club, Braga. The 28-year-old previously played for a top-five European club in his time with RC Lens. Wolfsburg will have to beat fellow interested clubs to convince the player.
The Wolves need reinforcement in the attacking front after the departures of Lukas Nmecha and Kevin Behrens. There are also still rumors linking Mohamed Amoura and Jonas Wind with moves away from Volkswagen Arena.
