Die Adler have lost the race for the promising Danish attacker.

Brøndby IF’s Mathias Kvistgaarden has decided against a possible Bundesliga move, opting for Norwich instead.

The EFL Championship club, affectionately known as the Canaries, officially announced the signing of the attacker.

According to Fußball Transfers’ reports, Eintracht Frankfurt also had Kvistgaarden on its summer watchlist.

Coming off the back of a 22-goal season, a transfer fee of around €13million was recently discussed with Die Adler.

However, the 23-year-old Dane has instead decided to try his luck in England on a four-year contract with Norwich.

“When the [Norwich] expressed interest in me, I just thought it might be a good fit. I think it’s no secret that we need to get promoted to the Premier League—that’s my goal here, too.

“That’s the club’s goal and my goal, too. Hopefully, I can bring the same energy as I did at my previous club,” Kvistgaarden explained.
