Bundesliga clubs monitoring progress of Hungarian goalkeeping talent

Teams from across the German top-flight are evaluating a move for 19-year-old Hungarian goalkeeper Áron Yaakobishvili, who is currently on loan to FC Andorra from the FC Barcelona B-team.

19-year-old Hungarian goalkeeper Áron Yaakobishvili is now linked to the Bundesliga and Serie A, as teams from the Italian and German top-flights have begun to keep an eye on the FC Barcelona prospect, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Yaakobishvili is currently on loan to FC Andorra from the B-team of FC Barcelona, and has played fourteen matches with the LaLiga 2 side this season, currently with a 6-4-4 record. Both of his last two matches have resulted in clean sheet victories, 1-0 against third-place Deportivo de La Coruña and 1-0 against Real Valladolid CF.

Yaakobishvili is eligible to represent Georgia, Hungary, or Israel at the international level – but his agent has made clear that he wants to represent Hungary. He made eight appearances for the Hungarian U17 team in 2022 and 2023, and one appearance for the U18 team in 2024, but still has yet to promote to the U21 squad.

The market value of Yaakobishvili is currently €1 million, according to Transfermarkt.
