Union Berlin’s Leopold Querfeld’s stunning strike against Stuttgart has been voted as the Bundesliga goal of the 2024/25 season.

Matchday 30 of the Bundesliga included a histroic game of football for many reasons: When Union Berlin met Stuttgart at home, both teams scored 4 goals in the first 45 minutes of the game to set a new Bundesliga record.

One of those 8 goals was Leopold Querfeld’s stunning long-range strike to make it 3-2 for Union Berlin at the time. Of the 959 goals scored in the 2024/25 Bundesliga season, Querfeld’s was statistically the least probable with an xG of just 1.2% – the lowest since records began in 2020/21!

Querfeld’s goal received 29% of the votes, followed by Jamal Musiala’s long shot against St. Pauli (13%) and Harry Kane’s acrobatic masterclass against Augsburg (10%).

Funnily enough, Querfeld’s screamer didn’t even win the goal of the month award in April; that one went to Serge Gnabry’s goal against Dortmund.
