Here’s our Bundesliga Team of the Week, highlighting the standout performers from Matchday 12.

With the 12th matchday of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 4-3-3 formation:

 

Goalkeeper:

Oliver Baumann, Hoffenheim

Made a total of four saves to help Hoffenheim to a clean sheet against Augsburg.

 

Defenders:

Lukas Kübler, Freiburg

Opened the scoring in Freiburg’s dominant 4-0 win over Mainz. Won all five of his duels and provided a key pass.

 

Matthias Ginter, Freiburg

Put in a rock-solid defensive performance, winning an impressive 10 duels and producing an assist.

 

Jonathan Tah, FC Bayern

Completed 98% of his 163 passes and won seven of nine duels, showcasing excellent composure and defensive reliability.

 

Aaron Zentner, Wolfsburg

Energetic display from the left-back, who scored and provided a key pass in Wolfsburg’s draw with Eintracht Frankfurt.

 

Midfielders:

Joshua Kimmich, FC Bayern

Dependable as ever in midfield, Kimmich provided four key passes, including an assist, in Bayern’s win over St. Pauli.

 

Wouter Burger, TSG Hoffenheim

Delivered a standout performance with a goal and an assist to help Hoffenheim secure a comfortable win over Augsburg.

 

Johan Manzambi, SC Freiburg

Completed 95% of his passes, scored a goal, and had another ruled out in Freiburg’s victory over Mainz.

 

Strikers:

Luis Diaz, FC Bayern

Set up Bayern’s opener with a key assist and scored a late winner to secure all three points for the German champions.

 

Lucas Höler, Freiburg

Played a pivotal role in Freiburg’s win over Mainz, linking up well with teammates and providing three key passes, including an assist.

 

Vincenzo Grifo, Freiburg

In arguably his best performance of the season so far, the aging veteran scored and had a big influence on the game for Freiburg.
