Here’s our Bundesliga Team of the Week, highlighting the standout performers from Matchday 4.

With the fourth matchday of the 2025/26 Bundesliga season in the books, Bulinews Editor-in-Chief Rune Gjerulff has selected his Team of the Week, which lines up in a 4-2-2-2:
 

Goalkeeper:

Noah Atubolu, Freiburg

Pulled off five saves, including an impressive penalty stop, to secure Freiburg’s clean sheet against Werder Bremen

Defenders:

Julian Ryerson, Dortmund

Worked relentlessly down the right side, making four key passes and providing the assist for Dortmund’s winner.

Jeff Chabot, Stuttgart

Stuttgart’s defensive leader delivered a rock-solid display, winning 11 duels and completing 88% of his passes in his side’s 2-0 victory.

Luka Vuskovic, Hamburger SV

On loan from Tottenham, the youngster showcased his potential to be a standout signing for HSV with a goal, eight duels won out of ten, and 14 clearances in a crucial win over Heidenheim.

David Raum, RB Leipzig

Shone against Köln with a stunning free-kick goal and three key passes.

Midfielders:

Kaishu Sano, Mainz

Mainz’s hard-working midfielder scored a rare goal and provided an assist, while winning all seven of his ground duels.

Fabio Vieira, Hamburger SV

Excelled in central midfield, completing 96% of his passes and providing a clever assist for HSV’s winner.

Oliver Burke, Union Berlin

Netting a brilliant hat-trick, he led Union Berlin to a stunning win over Eintracht Frankfurt.

Vincenzo Grifo, Freiburg

The veteran winger converted a penalty, struck the woodwork, and completed 96% of his passes, including the assist for Freiburg’s second goal.

Strikers:

Andrej Ilic, Union Berlin

Ilic didn’t get on the scoresheet himself, but he delivered an impressive three assists as Union defeated Eintracht.

Harry Kane, FC Bayern

Made the difference for Bayern, netting his second hat-trick of the season in clinical fashion.
