Manchester United icon Sir Alex Ferguson was at Goodison Park on Saturday to watch his former team face Everton and he did not look impressed by what he saw in the first half.
United were deservedly 2-0 down at the interval after goals from Beto and Abdoulaye Doucoure in the 19th and 33rd minutes respectively.
The TNT Sports cameras cut to Ferguson in the 43rd minute and the 83-year-old was seen sporting a strong grimace.
One United fan shared an image of Ferguson’s face via X (formerly Twitter) alongside the word: ‘Real,’ while another commented: ‘Terrible’.
After an awful first half, United hit back in the 72nd minute on Saturday when captain Bruno Fernandes beat Everton keeper Jordan Pickford with a sweet free-kick.
United then equalised eight minutes later when Manuel Ugarte scored his first goal since joining from Paris Saint-Germain last summer.
The game eventually ended 2-2, after Everton were denied a penalty kick in added time following a long VAR review.

The result left Everton and United 12th and 15th respectively in the Premier League table ahead of the rest of the weekend’s action.
Saturday’s game was Everton’s eighth since David Moyes returned to the club for his second spell in charge.
Moyes had previously managed the Toffees for 518 matches between 2002 and 2013. He famously left Goodison Park to replace Ferguson at Old Trafford after his fellow Scot retired following a remarkable career.
Ferguson took charge of 1,500 United games between 1986 and 2013, winning 895 of them. He won 38 trophies with the Red Devils, including 13 Premier League titles and two Champions League crowns.
In contrast, Moyes lasted less than 10 months in the Old Trafford hot-seat as he was sacked after just 51 games.
Since Ferguson left, United have failed to add to their tally of Premier League titles. Their only trophies during that period have been two FA Cups, two EFL Cups, two Community Shields and one Europa League.
Current boss Ruben Amorim is the 10th different manager – including caretakers – that United have had since the Ferguson era ended.
