Milan need a replacement now Theo Hernandez is heading to Al-Hilal, so the latest candidate is Sergi Cardona of Villarreal.
Multiple reports are confident that an agreement has been reached between all the parties, as Theo Hernandez has a salary worth €25m per season, with Milan receiving over €30m including add-ons.

According to El Chiringuito in Spain, via Tuttomercatoweb, one of the options to take over his role at San Siro next season is Cardona.
There would not need to be any negotiations, seeing as there is a release clause in his contract set at €15m.
His current deal runs to June 2027 and he turns 26 next month.
Cardona made his mark at Las Palmas and joined Villarreal as a free agent in the summer of 2024.
This season he scored one goal and provided seven assists in 35 LaLiga appearances.
He would be considerably cheaper than Oleksandr Zinchenko of Arsenal.
