Chelsea asked for Max Dowman during Noni Madueke talks

Chelsea reportedly enquired about the possibility of signing wonderkid Max Dowman during negotiations with Arsenal for Noni Madueke.

Dowman is regarded as one of the best teenagers in world football and he is expected to make his competitive debut for the Gunners next term.

The Blues are one of his admirers, and Hand of Arsenal reports that the Blues explored the possibility of exchanging Madueke for Dowman.

The Gunners swiftly rejected the proposal from the Blues. The 15-year-old is regarded as a crown jewel and the club won’t entertain his exit.

However, there is a chance that Ethan Nwaneri could head for the exit door amid concerns over his playing time in the forthcoming season.

With Arsenal aiming to bolster every position in attack, Nwaneri is concerned that he could struggle for regular playing time next term.

He has entered the last year of his contract and there is a chance that he could be offloaded before the transfer window closes on September 1.
