Chelsea defender does not want to join Tottenham

Chelsea defender Axel Disasi has turned down a loan move to Tottenham Hotspur before the transfer deadline, according to Fabrizio Romano.

Spurs are determined to bolster their central defensive department before the window closes. They have already signed Kevin Danso from Lens.

The club have also agreed a loan fee with the Blues for Disasi, but the Frenchman has snubbed the opportunity to move to north London.

Disasi finalised personal terms with Aston Villa earlier in the transfer window, and he is determined to join the Midlands outfit on loan instead.

Chelsea are unlikely to grant his wish. The Blues don’t want to strengthen a direct rival in their pursuit of Champions League football this campaign.

Joao Felix has also been linked with Villa over the past few weeks, but the Blues share the same stance and won’t send either player to Villa Park.

Chelsea can climb into the top four by beating West Ham United tomorrow.
