Chelsea are reportedly favourites to sign Aston Villa playmaker Morgan Rogers ahead of Liverpool.

The England international has made huge progress during his time with the Villans, but his future could be away from the Midlands outfit.

Villa have had financial issues with the Premier League and UEFA, and there could be a big-money sale at the end of the ongoing campaign.

Rogers is the most valuable player in the squad, and there is a possibility that he could head for the exit door with Chelsea and Liverpool keen.

Caught Offside now claim that the Blues are the front-runners to land the talented attacker, but it will take at least £80 million to prise him away.

Rogers had a slow start to the current campaign, but he has picked up form with a goal contribution in each of his last three Premier League games.

Villa may need to qualify for the Champions League next season or else they may have to part ways with Rogers to balance their financial books.
