Chelsea handed boost for Arsenal game

Chelsea have been handed an early boost ahead of the Premier League clash against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge this month.

The Blues have had an impressive start to the league campaign and they are currently six points behind league leaders Arsenal.

The west London giants will be aiming to close the gap and have an opportunity to secure three points when the Gunners visit the Bridge.

Ahead of the game, they have received a huge boost with Gunners centre-back Gabriel Magalhaes sidelined with a thigh injury on Brazil duty.

The 27-year-old has returned to London for further medical examination, but reports claim that he could be out for one to two months.

The Blues are set to benefit from the setback, given Gabriel has been rock solid at the back, and is also a scoring threat from set-pieces.

In Gabriel’s absence, one of Piero Hincapie or Cristhian Mosquera could slot into the heart of the defence alongside William Saliba for Arsenal.
