Chelsea are reportedly in direct contact with Manchester United to sign Alejandro Garnacho this winter.
The Argentina international has been in-and-out of the starting line-up in recent weeks. There is speculation that he could head for the exit door.
Amidst this, Fabrizio Romano reports that the Blues have entered in negotiations with United and there has been direct contact recently.
The Blues are expected to proceed with more talks in the coming days and it remains to be seen whether United consider his potential departure.
Garnacho has remained tight-lipped regarding his future, but his representative has been working behind the scenes with discussions.
He has spoken with the likes of Chelsea as well as Napoli. The latter are eyeing a replacement for Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, who has joined PSG.
United have not ruled out the prospect of selling their graduate, but it could take a fee of around £65 million to persuade them to sanction his sale.
