Chelsea midfielder Romeo Lavia has confirmed that he is nursing an injury sustained in the Premier League draw against Arsenal at Stamford Bridge.
The Belgium international has been a key player for the Blues this campaign and he got the nod alongside Moises Caicedo in midfield last weekend.
Lavia was substituted in the back end of the game due to injury and he has now confirmed that he is undergoing tests to assess any potential damage.
The midfielder is optimistic that he should be fine for the restart.
He said: “I received a little blow. At the moment, we are testing to see if it is okay, but it should be fine, I think.”
Chelsea have been the surprise packages of the current league season and they are presently third in the standings with 19 points on the board.
The Blues were not expected to push for a top four finish and they have performed above the odds in the early months under Enzo Maresca.
