Chelsea midfielder Cesare Casadei has agreed to join Torino on a permanent deal, according to Gianluca Di Marzio.
The Italian signed for the Blues from Inter Milan a couple of years ago. He was one of the best young midfielders at the time, but has failed to progress.
Casadei has now accepted to return to Italy with Torino. A verbal agreement has been reached between the clubs for a £11 million transfer.
The youngster is waiting for the Blues to authorise his travel to Italy. He is expected to put pen-to-paper on a five-year deal with Torino.
As part of the transfer, the Blues will retain a sell-on clause of around 30 percent. They could benefit if Casadei makes good progress.
Napoli and Juventus were also interested in the talented midfielder earlier this month, but were put off by the Blues’ sell-on percentage.
Casadei could still end up at one of those clubs in future. Napoli are likely to monitor his development for the remainder of the campaign.
