Chelsea poised to make bid for Man Utd winger

Chelsea are poised to make a formal bid to sign Manchester United winger Alejandro Garnacho this summer, according to journalist Ben Jacobs.

The Blues have already spent big on the frontline during the ongoing transfer window and they have signed Liam Delap, Joao Pedro and Jamie Gittens.

However, they are not finished yet and are keen on bringing another wide player to their ranks before the transfer window closes on September 1.

Garnacho has been identified as a top target for the west London giants and Jacobs claims that they are expected to place a bid in due course.

United’s valuation has been lowered to less than £50 million, but the Blues are apparently reluctant to pay more than £35m to £40m for the winger.

Negotiations are likely to happen at some stage. The Blues could also land Garnacho on a season-long loan with an obligation to buy next summer.

It may include a penalty clause if they decide against signing him.
