Chelsea prepared to offload first-team duo

Chelsea are ready to part ways with Ben Chilwell and Carney Chukwuemeka when the transfer window reopens next month.

The west London giants have had a good first half to the Premier League season and they are currently fourth in the table.

The Blues are aiming to qualify for the Champions League and they could make some signings in the next transfer window.

This could coincide with player exits and BBC Sport claim that Chilwell and Chukwuemeka could be offloaded permanently.

Young midfielder Cesare Casadei has also been out-of-favour, but the Blues have a long-term plan for the former Inter graduate.

The club prefer to loan him out instead. The youngster is said to prefer a return to Serie A in the back end of the campaign.

Chelsea are planning to sign a new centre-back. They could also enter the market for a new striker based on the availability.

The Blues have been linked with Paris Saint-Germain’s Randal Kolo Muani in the last 24 hours, but there has been no contact.
