Chelsea are reportedly open to selling Benoit Badiashile next year as the club prepares for the arrival of Aaron Anselmino.

Badiashile joined the Stamford Bridge outfit from AS Monaco for €38 million in January 2023, but he has been usurped by academy graduate Levi Colwill this campaign.

The 24-year-old has only made one Premier League appearance so far this season, off the bench against Liverpool, while he has already been excluded from the matchday squad on four occasions.

Badiashile has played every available minute in cup competitions in 2024-25, but Chelsea are open to offloading the Frenchman next year, according to Foot Mercato.

The former Monaco star was heavily linked with a move to AC Milan during the most recent summer transfer window, however the Rossoneri opted to sign Strahinja Pavlovic instead and a move to San Siro never materialised.

Despite this, Badiashile could be set to depart Chelsea in 2025, with the Frenchman no longer deemed to be a key player at Stamford Bridge.

Badiashile has made 40 first-team appearances for Chelsea, although his Estimated Transfer Value (ETV) has almost halved since March 2023.

Aaron Anselmino to Chelsea

While Badiashile could leave Chelsea next year, the Blues will welcome the aforementioned Anselmino to the club next summer.

Enzo Maresca’s side agreed a €16.5m fee with Boca Juniors in August, but the Argentine was immediately loaned back to his boyhood club in order to continue his development in South America.

In addition to Anselmino, Chelsea also completed a deal for Tosin Adarabioyo this summer, with the 27-year-old joining the club from west London rivals Fulham on a free transfer following the expiration of his contract at Craven Cottage.

Wesley Fofana, Axel Disasi and the aforementioned Colwill form the rest of Chelsea’s current centre-back crop, while summer signing Renato Veiga is also capable of playing at the heart of defence.
