Chelsea are set to pocket £4 million following Marc Guehi‘s move from Crystal Palace to Manchester City this month.
The England international has agreed terms with Pep Guardiola‘s side, and he is expected to join in a deal worth £20 million soon.
The Blues did not exercise their first refusal on the player, but they are set to benefit from a 20 percent sell-on clause agreed.
Chelsea included the clause when Guehi left the club four years ago and they will secure £4m from the transfer in the coming days.
Liam Rosenior‘s side are in the transfer market for a new centre-back, but they prefer someone with a different profile than Guehi.
The focus seems on landing a left-footed centre-back, but there are no standout targets for the club at the current point in time.
The west London side are assessing their options at the moment, but we should know about their preferred target in the next few days.
