Chelsea set to hold talks with £22m winger

Chelsea are prepared to hold talks with young forward Tyrique George regarding his future, according to the Daily Mail.

The Blues agreed to sell the youngster to Fulham in a deal worth £22 million last summer, but the transfer broke down on deadline day.

George is primarily a winger by trade, but he has received an ample amount of playing time as a makeshift striker this campaign.

It is now claimed that the 19-year-old could still leave the Blues in January as he could struggle for playing time going forward.

Liam Delap has finally returned to action after a hamstring injury and his presence is expected to reduce George’s game time.

Chelsea were more than willing to offload George last summer, but they are now contemplating a temporary departure instead.

The Blues believe George could have a future at the club. It remains to be seen whether Fulham make a fresh approach for him.

George has also been linked with RB Leipzig and Borussia Dortmund.
