Andrey Santos was absent for the 1-0 win over Benfica in the Champions League last night. It has since been confirmed that he will be sidelined for a while with an injury.
Santos is set to miss the weekend’s encounter against the Reds. This is another setback for the Blues, who are missing several key players in the early phase of the season.
They have limited resources in the central defensive department with Wesley Fofana, Tosin Adarabioyo and Trevoh Chalobah ruled out for Saturday’s encounter.
