Chelsea target €80m deal for Europe’s most in-form striker

Chelsea are reportedly plotting an €80 million move for Real Madrid wonderkid Endrick, who is currently excelling on loan at Olympique Lyonnais.

Liam Rosenior’s side have already finalised agreements for Emmanuel Emegha and Dastan Satpaev to join the club this summer, however rumours suggest they remain eager to land another young forward if the opportunity arises.

Atletico Madrid striker Julian Alvarez has been linked with a Stamford Bridge switch on a number of occasions over the past few months, while Brazil international Vitor Roque is also understood to be on their radar.

However, the Blues have now “set their sights” on completing a blockbuster deal for Endrick, according to a sensational report from Fichajes.

It’s claimed that Chelsea plan to spend close to €80m on the 19-year-old this summer as they aim to entice Real Madrid into a sale.

The Brazilian only racked up 99 minutes of action for Los Blancos across the first half of the 2025-26 campaign, but he has enjoyed a scintillating start to start at Lyon, notching four goals and providing one assist in his first three games for the club.

Reports have already suggested that Lyon boss Paulo Fonseca is eager for the Ligue 1 outfit to extend Endrick’s six-month loan deal, although Chelsea are reportedly determined to reunite him with his former Palmeiras team-mate Estevao Willian this summer.

Endrick “happy” at Lyon

Despite Chelsea’s interest in his signature, Endrick confirmed that he is delighted by his decision to complete a loan move to Lyon earlier this month following his hat-trick versus Metz on Sunday.

“That was the first hat-trick of my life, I’m very happy, truly,” he admitted (via ESPN).

“It was an incredible match. I’ll keep the ball from that game at home. It’s an incredible day in my life.”

When asked about his decision to join Lyon just six months before the World Cup, Endrick said: “I think it’s been really great playing in this league [Ligue 1]. It’s strong and physical, with a lot of aggression. I like that.

“It wasn’t a mistake [coming to Lyon]. Life is like that. My life has always been difficult, it’s never been easy. I stay strong with the strength I receive from the people around me. This is just the beginning.

“People have always told me that Lyon is a great team and that I should come and play here, and the truth is that the team is, indeed, very good.”

He added: “Lyon is a great place, I’m very lucky and I feel really good here. This hat trick is very important to me, it helps the team win and I’m really pleased. I can contribute to the team and I feel like I belong.

“It’s like God told me this was the right place for my career. Every day, every moment, I never could have imagined it, and now it’s a reality.”
