Chelsea to open discussions with Bayern regarding Pavlović in coming weeks

The blue club in London is interested in adding another promising holding midfielder to their ranks – Pavlović is seen as the perfect candidate.

Chelsea FC are reportedly showing keen interest in signing Bayern Munich midfielder Aleksandar Pavlović in the summer window. 

The report from BILD claims that the London based club are expected to “open discussions” with Bayern in the coming weeks.

Although negotiations are unlikely to lead to a breakthrough, given previous reports suggest Bayern won’t sell him under any circumstances.

Chelsea also have several midfield options including Moises Caicedo, Romeo Lavia, Andrey Santos and Enzo Fernandez in their ranks.

However, the Blues are reportedly still looking to strengthen their midfield by adding another holding midfielder to their already large squad.

Fellow Premier League side Manchester City are also believed to be monitoring the 21-year-old midfielder in Vincent Kompany’s side. 

Still, with Leon Goretzka leaving this summer, it seems Pavlović is set to become a key cog in Bayern’s midfield alongside Joshua Kimmich.

Only this week, Pavlović said he could easily see himself representing the German record champions for the rest of his career.
