Chelsea to sign Jadon Sancho

Chelsea have made an agreement with Man Utd on this transfer deadline day to sign Jadon Sancho, as the England international moves to Stamford Bridge on an initial loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer. It is understood that Chelsea will pay around £50 million should they decide to take up their option on Sancho.

Sancho famously found himself as an outcast at United and spent the backend of last season on loan at Borussia Dortmund, with the Bundesliga side unable to afford the required fee to purchase the 24-year-old winger. However, Chelsea believe that an agreement is in place and that Sancho will make the move this evening. Sancho has already agreed personal terms with the Blues.

According to reports, Erik Ten Hag and Sancho had repaired their relationship during the summer but both agreed that a transfer away for the player would still remain the best solution. It is understood that Chelsea‘s representatives have found an agreement and that a deal will be announced just prior to the transfer deadline this evening.
