All the latest Chelsea transfer news in one place, including updates on Josh Acheampong, Jeremy Jacquet and Nicolas Jackson.
Chelsea enter Jacquet race
Chelsea have firmly entered the race for Stade Rennais wonderkid Jeremy Jacquet, who has been the subject of strong interest from Arsenal since the summer transfer window.
Jacquet was viewed as a potential replacement for William Saliba, but he opted to stay at Rennes when it became clear that his compatriot would not leave Arsenal.
He has gone from strength to strength this season, prompting Chelsea to hold preliminary talks over his potential arrival in 2026. He is set to be one of the hottest commodities of the new year.
Man City want Palmer revenge
Cole Palmer has enjoyed great success since leaving Man City for Chelsea, but now the Cityzens look poised to get revenge on the Stamford Bridge outfit.
Josh Acheampong has been earmarked as a target for January, and “formative enquiries” have been made to gauge whether a transfer could be possible next year.
The 19-year-old is struggling for minutes, having been an unused substitute in eight consecutive Premier League games, but Chelsea insist that he is not on the market.
Chelsea looking for Jackson buyer
Chelsea will “certainly” be looking to offload Nicolas Jackson permanently when he returns from his loan at Bayern next summer. The Munich club will not use their €65 million purchase option, nor will the purchase obligation be triggered.
Chelsea will therefore have to find a solution for the Senegal international next year. Reintegration into Enzo Maresca’s first team has been effectively ruled out.
The positive news is that the 24-year-old will have no shortage of suitors next summer, with various Premier League and European clubs keen on Jackson.
Serie A clubs battle for Disasi
AS Roma and AC Milan are going head-to-head for the signature of Chelsea outcast Axel Disasi, who is fully expected to depart in the January transfer window.
The ‘Bomb Squad’ member has recently returned to first-team training, but he is unlikely to play for Chelsea again, prompting interest from Serie A suitors.
Chelsea want to sell him, but they will likely have to accept a significant loss on their €45m investment, with neither Roma nor Milan keen to spend big on the out-of-favour defender.
