All the latest Chelsea transfer news in one place, including updates on Jamie Gittens, Mike Maignan and Hugo Ekitike.
Chelsea fail with second Gittens bid

Chelsea made an improved €50 million offer for Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens on Tuesday afternoon.
However, the Bundesliga side rejected the bid and insisted on a free closer to €65m, including add-ons.
The two clubs failed to reach an agreement before the deadline, but Chelsea are expected to continue their pursuit for the second summer window.
Chelsea pull out of Maignan deal

The second Chelsea transfer to collapse on Deadline Day was Mike Maignan joining from AC Milan.
Chelsea held fresh talks with the Serie A club on Monday and Tuesday, but a sizeable gap in valuation couldn’t be bridged.
The Blues ultimately left the talks, feeling that signing Maignan was just an opportunity rather than a necessity.
Chelsea refuse to match Ekitike price

Chelsea also failed to secure the signing of Hugo Ekitike on Tuesday due to Eintracht Frankfurt’s excessive demands.
The Bundesliga side have made it clear that they will only sell the Frenchman for €100m this summer.
Understandably, Chelsea have no intention of shelling out that much on Ekitike.
Man Utd set outrageous Garnacho price

Man Utd have slapped a whopping €83 million price tag on outcast Alejandro Garnacho, who is fielding interest from Arsenal and Chelsea.
It was expected that he would be cheaper than in January when Man Utd demanded €70m, but this is evidently not the case.
However, it seems unlikely that any European club will match Man Utd’s hefty asking price.
Bettinelli joins Man City
Man City have announced the signing of Chelsea goalkeeper Marcus Bettinelli on a one-year deal.
The 33-year-old arrives to take the place of Scott Carson, who will leave when his contract expires on June 30.
Bettinelli still had a year left to run on his contract at Chelsea.
