Chelsea’s discussions with Juventus superstar Kenan Yildiz have been on standby lately as they wait for an indication on how his contract talks with the Serie A club may pan out.
Juventus are desperate to agree fresh terms with the Turkey international, but negotiations have stalled in recent weeks, and it is currently completely up in the air whether or not he will extend.
Chelsea will restart discussions with the 20-year-old once it becomes clearer if there is a chance that they could sign him in 2026.
On Wednesday, it was revealed that Chelsea goalkeeper Filip Jorgensen is looking to leave the club in January as he is currently unhappy with his lack of regular minutes.
The Denmark international is looking to force his way into his country’s starting XI ahead of the World Cup playoff in March, but in order to do so, he needs to play.
However, it has now been revealed that Chelsea will not sanction a loan exit of the goalkeeper, so it will have to be a permanent sale or nothing for Jorgensen.
Chelsea outcast Raheem Sterling is fielding interest from several Premier League clubs ahead of the January window, having recently become the only remaining member of the infamous ‘Bomb Squad’ after Axel Disasi was allowed to return to first-team training.
The likes of Leeds United and Crystal Palace are said to be keen on the 30-year-old winger in January after he stayed at Chelsea in the summer due to failing to get a move to a London-based club.
It remains to be seen if Sterling’s London-only stance is still in force or if the former England star would be open to a potential move to relegation-battlers Leeds.
Jesse Derry‘s father has revealed that Enzo Maresca’s willingness to give academy talent a chance with the first team was a crucial factor in the decision to swap Crystal Palace for Chelsea in the summer.
“You go back to the decision of why Chelsea? A real big tick box for us all, more importantly for Jesse, was last year I think nine academy graduates were given opportunities to play for the first-team,” Shaun Derry explained.
The 18-year-old has enjoyed a red-hot start to life in the Chelsea youth setup, primarily playing with the club’s U21s.
Chelsea have informed incoming signing Geovany Quenda that he will immediately become part of the first team when he joins the club from Sporting CP next summer.
A €50 million deal for the Portuguese youngster was agreed in the spring, but it was decided that Quenda would stay at Sporting CP until 2026 despite having been old enough to already move to Chelsea in the summer.
Quenda has impressed this season, and Chelsea have now told the youngster that he will be kept around Maresca’s side rather than loaned out when he arrives, similar to Estevao this summer.
