All the latest Chelsea transfer news in one place, including updates on Joao Pedro, Jamie Gittens and Hugo Ekitike.
Chelsea still not done
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea are still not finished with their summer business despite wrapping up deals for Jamie Gittens and Joao Pedro, with both set to join the club imminently.
The two attackers have completed their medicals and are set to link up with Chelsea’s squad at the Club World Cup, although Gittens is no longer eligible to play after being registered by Borussia Dortmund.
Romano states that Chelsea will look to add yet more players even though they have already signed seven fresh faces this summer. “They’re not done yet on the market,” he claims.
Arsenal enter Ekitike race
Arsenal have joined the likes of Chelsea in the race to sign Eintracht Frankfurt striker Hugo Ekitike, who has been given a €100 million price tag.
It is unclear if Arsenal would be ready to spend that much on the Frenchman, considering that they are currently trying to push down the fees required for Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko.
As for Chelsea, although they still appreciate the 23-year-old, it seems unlikely that they will step up their pursuit of him after securing Joao Pedro.
Woltemade only wants Bayern
Stuttgart striker Nick Woltemade has cancelled meetings with Chelsea and Napoli as he has his heart set on a move to Bayern Munich, with whom he has already agreed terms.
Chelsea opened talks with the Germany U21 international earlier this month, but they are set to be beaten to his signature by the Bundesliga champions.
There had been claims that Stuttgart had slapped a ridiculous €100m price tag on Woltemade, but this has now been downplayed by the German press.
