Victor Osimhen update

Chelsea are still in talks to sign Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, although Al-Ahli remain in the running to land the Nigeria international.

It’s believed that Osimhen favours a move to Stamford Bridge over a Saudi Arabia switch, although the Blues are yet to finalise terms with Napoli or the player.

Furthermore, Al-Ahli’s proposal reportedly includes a €50 million release clause, which will be active after two years at the club.

That is according to Italian journalist Gianluigi Longari, who has reported that Al-Ahli are pushing to reach a full agreement to sign Osimhen.

This deal looks as though it will drag on until Deadline Day, with a solution unlikely to appear quickly.

Ivan Toney competition

Manchester United have held initial talks with Brentford over a possible late move for Ivan Toney, as per The Evening Standard.

The Red Devils’ interest had died down following the arrival of Joshua Zirkzee, but they have reportedly now rekindled their interest in the England forward.

However, the report states that joining Chelsea remains Toney’s focus.

On Tuesday, it was reported that Chelsea were pursuing a late move for the Brentford star as an alternative to Osimhen.

Like Osimhen, Toney is also wanted by Al-Ahli, and as a result, it seems as though whoever doesn’t join Chelsea, is likely to sign for the Saudi Pro League outfit.

Djordje Petrovic to Strasbourg

Chelsea goalkeeper will join Strasbourg on a season-long loan deal, according to Fabrizio Romano.

The Serbian has reportedly penned fresh terms with the Blues and will join Strasbourg on loan until June 2025.

Petrovic is set to become Strasbourg’s first-choice goalkeeper, having dropped down the pecking order at Chelsea following Robert Sanchez’s return to fitness and the arrival of Filip Jorgensen.

Stuttgart want Trevoh Chalobah

Stuttgart are interested in signing Chelsea defender Trevoh Chalobah on loan, as per Sky Sports.

The Englishman has been frozen out by Enzo Maresca, but he remains a Blues player and any exit before the end of the summer transfer window is reportedly likely to be a loan deal.

Crystal Palace are among the Premier League clubs interested in Chalobah, although they are focusing on finalising a deal for Maxence Lacroix at current.

Kepa joins Bournemouth

Kepa Arrizabalaga has officially completed a loan move to Bournemouth for the 2024-25 season.

The Spaniard has extended his Chelsea contract until 2026 and he will spend next campaign under the management of Andoni Iraola.

Kepa was loaned to Real Madrid last season, but Los Blancos opted against signing him on a permanent deal.

Jadon Sancho latest

Jadon Sancho is holding out for a move to Chelsea, despite Juventus reportedly agreeing a deal with Manchester United.

That is according to The Guardian, who report that Sancho currently favours a move to Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea remain in negotiations with Man Utd, although they are yet to agree a deal with the Red Devils.

Raheem Sterling remains of interest to Erik ten Hag’s side, but Ben Chilwell will not be joining Man Utd as part of any potential deal.
