FootballTransfers runs through the latest Chelsea transfer news, rumours and gossip, including updates on Victor Osimhen and Eli Junior Kroupi.
Victor Osimhen update
Chelsea have been put on red alert following reports that Atletico Madrid have earmarked Victor Osimhen as their top transfer target for 2026.
The Nigeria superstar has been heavily linked with a Stamford Bridge switch for the past three years, but the Blues have been unwilling to match his wage demands and a transfer has therefore never materialised.
If they want to finally secure Osimhen’s signature this summer, they must act quickly as he has been identified as Atletico Madrid’s priority target for the upcoming transfer window, according to Fichajes.
Diego Simeone’s side face the prospect of losing star striker Julian Alvarez ahead of the 2026-27 season, amid significant interest from Arsenal and Barcelona, and they have reportedly sounded out Osimhen as a perfect replacement if the Argentina international departs.
Eli Junior Kroupi competition
Arsenal have joined Chelsea in the race to sign Bournemouth forward Eli Junior Kroupi, who is currently being tracked by every top Premier League club ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.
The Sun have reported that Bournemouth have initiated talks over a “bumper new deal” with Kroupi’s representatives, in a bid to ward off any suitors, while they claim that Chelsea, Liverpool, Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain are all eager to sign the France U21 international.
In addition, Arsenal, Aston Villa, Manchester City, Newcastle United and Tottenham Hotspur have now expressed their interest in the former Lorient forward, who is set to cost €92m this summer, according to TEAMtalk.
Endrick truth
Real Madrid have informed Chelsea that Endrick is not for sale this summer amid rumoured interest from Liam Rosenior’s side.
Endrick has scored five goals and provided one assist in just six matches since joining Lyon on loan in January, and his sensational form has alerted the attention of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur.
That is according to TEAMtalk, who claim that Real Madrid have delivered a “clear and definitive message” that Endrick will return to the Bernabeu this summer and be integrated into the club’s first-team squad next season.
Aleksandar Stankovic wanted
Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur are all interested in signing Club Brugge midfielder Aleksandar Stankovic – a player who has been tipped by his legendary father for great things.
Stankovic, the son of Inter Milan legend Dejan, was signed by Club Brugge last summer in a €9.5 million deal, but his stay in Belgium is set to be short.
That is because the Premier League’s top clubs are hovering in anticipation of the 20-year-old departing in the summer, according to CaughtOffside.
Liam Delap criticism
Jamie Carragher has criticised Liam Delap’s decision to join Chelsea last summer amid his struggles since arriving at Stamford Bridge from Ipswich Town.
The England striker has only scored two goals in 23 appearances so far this season and he has started just one Premier League match since the appointment of Liam Rosenior in January.
Speaking on The Overlap, Carragher admitted: ‘It was a bad move. Honestly, it was a bad move going to Chelsea.
“I just think young players, when they’re on a journey and getting better, the jump from Ipswich and Chelsea was too big, he needed somewhere in the middle.
“Somewhere like Everton. If you play centre forward for Everton and play every game and know even if you have a few bad games you’re still going to play.”
